Bristol Buccaneers kept up their push for a playoff spot after sweeping the Bristol Brunels in the local derby at the weekend. The Buccaneers won the BBF/SWWBL Single A double header games 15-8 and 14-9 to move to three games behind division leader, the Weston Jets.

EARLY RUN BLITZ BLASTS BADGERS TO SWEEP
The Bristol Badgers offense exploded on Sunday as they swept BBF AAA rivals the Kent Buccaneers 30-4 and 10-8 at Somerdale Pavilion. The club’s top team got off to a flying start in the first game hammering 28 runs in the first three innings.

BUCCS SWEEP CLAYCUTTERS IN THRILLER
Bristol Buccaneers swept the Cornish Claycutters in a two game thriller at Somerdale Pavilion on Sunday. The Buccaneers won their BBF/SWWBL A clash by taking the games by the narrow scorelines of 12-11 and 5-3.

BADGERS SHOW CHARACTER TO SPLIT DOUBLE HEADER
Bristol Badgers came from behind to win the first game of their BBF AAA double header against a strong London Metros team on Saturday. The Badgers were down 4-7 in the fifth inning, but high quality batting pulled them in front by one run – a lead which they held to complete the 8-7 win.

SWEEPS FOR BADGERS, BATS AND BRUNELS
It was the most successful weekend of the season so far for Bristol Baseball Club with three of its teams sweeping the opposition.

HEARTBREAK FOR BUCCS IN TAUNTON
Bristol Buccaneers suffered the heartbreak of two walk off losses in their BBF/SWWBL double header against the Taunton Muskets. The Bristol side put up a strong fight against their divisional rivals before going down 9-8 and 8-7 in two battles where the lead changed hands several times.
