Bristol Baseball Club will host the finals of the British Baseball Federation’s (BBF) National Baseball League Championship and Division Two Championship at Somerdale Pavilion in Keynsham.

The two three match series, which will highlight the best of British baseball, will be held on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September.

This is tremendous recognition for the club and will give baseball fans from the wider region to witness the best players in the country fighting for the national titles,” said Rhodri Theaker, chair of Bristol Baseball Club. “It promises to be a fantastic weekend for baseball lovers with games on both days. Spectators are welcome and there is no entry fee.

Next weekend all the club’s adult teams will compete in the national playoffs for the first time in its history.

First up on Saturday are the Buccaneers who travel to Cambridge to take on the Royals for their BBF Division Four quarter final.

On Sunday the Badgers face Brighton Brewers at Finsbury Park in London in their BBF Division Two semi-final while the bats travel to Cardiff to take on the Merlins in a BBF Division Three quarter final.

The Brunels are in the BBF Division Five wild card round and will face Exeter Wyverns at Somerdale on the Sunday.
